Our food intake/ diet plays a major role on the appearance of our skin, particularly our facial skin. To get a good diet, you don’t have to trawl through the Amazons of “Guatemala” or “kuala Lumpur” looking for that rare “acai berry” to achieve that perfect skin texture. Most of these foods can be found in your kitchen cupboard, fridge, or your local food store. Thus we will reveal to you the top 5 super and tasty beauty foods that would give you that perfect skin, sooner that you expect. Beauty Food 1- Fish The health benefits of fish are mind blowing. Two highly beneficial ones are Mackerel and Salmon. These two types of fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and B vitamin; which makes it easier for the skin to maintain its moisture,thus making it smoother and addressing any imbalances. Omega-3 also has anti-inflammatory properties, which helps in healing the skin, preventing and reducing acne breakouts.

Beauty Food 2- Avocados Avocados are a good source of vitamin E, which is a powerful antioxidant that helps protect the skin. It also contains essential fats which helps to keep the skin flexible and moisturised. A number of people avoid eating avocados, due to its blandness in taste. Sweet potatoes can be enjoyed cooked, roasted as part of a main meal or a side dish.

Beauty Food 5- Water The most important beauty food. Water has to be a staple in our diet, to lead a health lifestyle, and most importantly for a healthy skin. Water helps provide the essential hydration that the skin needs. It also helps get rid of harmful toxins, and purifies the skin as a whole. It is recommended to have at least 3 litres of water a day. However you could start by aiming for a litre a day (equivalent of 3 times the bottle size shown in the picture below) to ease into the regime; and then increase your intake over time.
